Introducing Scotland’s new Climate Action Networks and Hubs

In late 2021, the Scottish Government invited the Scottish Communities Climate Action Network to encourage regional climate action networks and hubs across Scotland. Midlothian responded!

The staffed Midlothian hub now in operation and fully staffed is here to encourage a more strategic community-led approach to climate action in the county and form part a Scotland-wide network of regional hubs sharing with and learning from each other.

We need your input

How the Climate Action Hub will work and what it does is shaped by its communities.  The aim is to support, inspire, and build capacity and connections. This could include specialist support to develop your ideas, projects and organisation; training sessions, events, resources and tool kits; as well as the sharing of knowledge, skills and inspiration as we create a thriving and sustainable future

We want to hear from you as we continue to develop the new Hub and its priorities. We are here to create a collaborative community for local groups, advocate for a sustainable and inclusive future for all and amplify communities’ views into a collective voice at locally, regionally and nationally.

If you’re part of a community group or other organisation in Midlothian we want to hear from you! You can be a community organisation of any size, anywhere in Midlothian

We want to hear your views

How should the network and hub be structured moving forward?

What would be practical, useful and inspiring?

What resources and benefits would be helpful? How do we create a fair, inclusive and welcoming space?

With so many groups doing great work, how do we share skills and experiences?

How do we foster connections that benefit all our work?
