ARGYLL and BUTE CAN

We’re uniting community groups across the region and inviting everyone to take part in the development of the new
Argyll and Bute Climate Action Hub

Are you part of a community group in Argyll & Bute?

#ArgyllandButeCAN

Then we want to hear from you!

We want to hear from all groups and organisations no matter how big or small.

Scotland’s new
Climate Action Networks and Hubs

Climate Action Networks are being setup across Scotland to support community groups, enabling a more strategic regional approach to climate action. This includes the creation of a new Argyll & Bute Climate Action Network.

The Network’s aim is to support, inspire for capacity building and increased connections.

This could include: specialist support to develop your ideas, projects, and organisation; training sessions, events, resources and tool kits; as well as the sharing of knowledge, skills, and inspiration as we create a thriving, sustainable future.

Where is this Network headed?

Over the coming months, we want to hear from you, so we can work together to build the new Argyll & Bute Climate Action Hub and determine what its priorities should be.

We are seeking your input on:

What would be practical, useful, and inspiring?

How should the hub be structured?

What resources and benefits would be helpful?

How do we create a fair, inclusive, and welcoming space?

With so many groups doing great work, how do we share skills and experiences?

How do we foster connections that benefit all our work?

Along the way, the Network is here to create a collaborative community for local groups, advocate for a sustainable and inclusive environment, and amplify its collective voice.

This support will be delivered through the Argyll & Bute Climate Action Network Hub, shaped by the communities within, who will determine how the Hub works and what services it provides.

How can my group join in?

Any group is welcome to join us as we create plans for the Argyll & Bute Climate Action Network.

All are invited to take part in developing strategies for the new Network Hub, across the full spectrum of organisational sizes and locations within Argyll & Bute. We want to include all groups – small, medium, and large – to benefit from each other’s connections and perspectives. This includes those taking action on food, energy, waste, transport, biodiversity, social justice and more.

In future we will be planning a series of community events for people to come together to share ideas. We are also keen to meet with you face-to-face in the place where you work and hear your experiences.
