Uncover bizarre larger than life fungi, creaking tree roots and thrumming underworlds. Breathe explores the inner workings of trees, beautifully realised with a combination of stunning puppetry, breathtakingly detailed sets and groundbreaking live camera work. Underscored through a truly unique blend of thumping drum and bass and live ethereal folk songs. What happens when a comedian walks into a volcano? In 2023, Ben Miller was the artist-in-residence at Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, the first stand-up comedian ever selected. This was probably a terrible idea on their part. Come watch this show where scientist turned stand-up comedian Ben Miller explores volcanology, entomology, Hawaiian history, cats, cookies and more. And yes that photo is real. Ben has made people laugh in front of a burning lava lake, and he is not afraid of you.

Whales sometimes make hit songs that get repeated through the ocean. Anyway, how do you deal with being alive? Babe Alien wants a revolution after seeing a blue whale trapped in their local Las Vegas casino. Their crusade for liberation is treated like a whale-sized waste of time by their flatmates, who are finding that surviving today is difficult enough. Fighting against the power brings them to a desert commune and up close with David Attenborough (not the real one, he’s busy). Apathy and activism in our times. And Babe didn’t become an alien to be apathetic…

This show covers the subjects of birth, family relationships, highland invasion, human intervention, the battle and the future of midge species with its interaction with the human race. The history, location and species overview will be covered along with the daily life of this insect in various Scottish regions. This show will have a running time of approximately 1 hour in duration and will be split into 10 scenes covering the life of the midge species from birth through to living and thriving in Scotland. Visual displays and art graphics will accompany to narrate story.

But things never quite go to plan… Join the bees on their buzzy adventures. Be enchanted by their pollen-collecting skills, honey-making abilities and superbee strength. A Bee Story has themes of environmentalism, sustainability and community spirit, and was directed by Robbie Curtis and co-created with musician and performer Lizzie McRae.
