Restoration Forth, Tyninghame Beach, 22 March

The Scottish Seabird Centre and its partners are seeking volunteers to help seagrass planting.

This is part of the Restoration Forth project which involves seagrass meadow planting and trials to reintroduce native oysters.   The successful introduction of both will lead to greater marine biodiversity, increased carbon capture, and clearer and healthier water.

The seagrass meadow planting, which will focus on Tyninghame beach, will commence on 22 March and will suit the early risers amongst you – the meeting time is 7.30am.
