The Footpath<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stage 1 of the Footpath was completed 2nd February 2024. The Principal funders were The Levenseat Trust, National Lottery, Scottish Government.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Apple Orchard<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The land was cleared by volunteers on the 18th October 2021 and 40 mixed Apple trees were planted the following day by volunteers and the students from Addiewell Primary Schools<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Soft Fruit Orchard<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Land was Cleared in the autumn of 2021 and the fruit trees planted in February 2022. A further batch were planted on the 18\/19th October 2022<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Trees and Scrub Plants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A total of 250 trees and scrub were planted over the years 2021 to 2022. These included Gooseberry, hawthorn birch and willow.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Cattle Fencing <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Fencing was installed around compartment 1 by a contractor in early spring 2020 just prior to lockdown but it was not until the following winter before cattle were let into the field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
