Potential Glasgow Climate Action Hub

The Scottish Government has launched a Climate Action Hub fund for regional hubs. Although the exact amount per area isn’t defined yet, there is a potential for some great resourcing to support the network of community groups in Glasgow.

So far, during the development of the network there has been some conversation around what resourcing could be used for – this will feed into the plans for the network’s application. The feedback so far has been largely supportive of applying for funding.

You can see a bit more about what the funding could potentially be used for on our about page.

Decision making for Glasgow application

We will be discussing the options around funding including the Hub funding through the Network Resources Working Group. This group will lend capacity for planning and applying for funding to resource the network, including the hub funding opportunity. The plans will start with what has come from discussion so far.

These plans will then be proposed to the network members to gather feedback to consider in the planning process. The time groups lend is greatly appreciated, whether to be part of the working group or to engage with proposed plans.

If your group is a member of the network and would like to join the working group, please email glasgow@sccan.scot.
