For Citizen Science month in April, Buglife and the Marine Conservation Society are joining forces to create a free hands-on, practical set of citizen science workshops, tracing the path from the river out to sea.
Join Buglife and volunteers from Riverfly on the Esk to learn about the amazing world of our freshwater invertebrates and take part in river sampling.
Next you’ll walk to the beach, tracing the pathway along the river and collecting litter data using the Source to Sea survey form.
Finally, we will host a mini beach clean and seaweed survey plus a biodiversity survey when we reach the shore at Musselburgh.
