Highlands And Islands Community Climate Action Fund: Highlands And Islands Climate Hub are offering their members small grants of up to £1,000 to help fund new community organisations or launch a climate action project. Applications are accepted at any time.
Shetland Climate Action Ting: Will distribute grants of up to £7,500 to Shetland community projects seeking to take climate action. Deadline: 11th February 2026.
East Lothian Climate Hub Climate and Nature Action Grants: Grants of up to £10,000 are available to East Lothian community groups to help them deliver action for climate and nature. Community groups must be a member of ELCAN to be eligible to apply. Applications are accepted at any time.
General Funding
Grow Wild Community Programme: Offering around 23 grants of up to £2,000 to UK non profit groups to transform urban areas through planting and championing UK native plants or fungi. Projects must use sustainable materials and practices and be led by groups who care about the environment. Deadline: 4th February 2026.
Youth Scotland Rural Action Fund: Volunteer-run youth groups based in rural communities in Scotland can apply for grants between £100 and £750 to support and enable current activities and new projects. To be eligible for funding, groups must have an annual turnover of under £200,000 and a maximum of two full time staff members. Deadline: 12th February 2026.
Stanley Smith (UK) Horticultural Trust: Offers grants of up to £5,000 to support horticultural projects that benefit the UK public. Deadline: 15th February 2026.
SUEZ Communities Fund: Provides grants of between £3,000 and £50,000 to projects in Scotland that are located within 10 miles of a Landfill Site. Next Deadline: 18th February 2026.
Highlands and Islands Environment Foundation: Offers funding from £5,000 to £15,000 to community groups working in the highlands and islands to support projects that aim to protect and restore nature in the area. Deadline: 23rd February 2026.
Naturesave Trust: This funding round offers grants of up to £5,000 to UK organisations that are working to protect and restore marine environments. Deadline: 26th February 2026.
Sea-Changers Coastal Fountain Fund: Offers grants of up to £2,500 for community groups and other non profit organisations to cover the cost of purchasing a water fountain. The water fountain’s purpose is to significantly reduce the use of non-reusable plastic drink bottles. Deadline: 28th February 2026.
Rewilding Britain – Rewilding Innovation Fund: Offers grants of up to £15,000 to support rewilding projects at a scale of more than 40 hectares across Scotland, England and Wales. Deadline: 28th February 2026.
Learning through Landscapes – Local School Nature Grants: Offers outdoor learning sessions and nature equipment up to £500 to schools, nurseries and other learning providers across Scotland, England and Wales. Deadline: 13th March 2026.
Regenerative Fund for Nature: Offers funding of between £100,000 and £500,000 over three years to support projects that help farming groups and organisations try out and grow farming methods that work with nature. Deadline: 30th April 2026.
Sea-Changers Innovation Fund: Offering grants of up to £10,000 to UK organisations to help them deliver new and innovative approaches and solutions to Britain’s marine conservation challenges. Deadline: 30th April 2026.
Stafford Trust: Offers grants of between £500 and £5,000 to support UK charities with a variety of projects such as animal welfare, sea rescue and community projects. Deadline: 30th June 2026.
Ongoing funds/rolling deadlines
Climate Action Fund – Food Systems: The National Lottery Community Fund is inviting applications to its new Climate Action Fund – Food Systems programme. Partnerships between UK non profit organisations can apply for grants of between £2.5 million and £7 million for ambitious projects that strengthen food systems, tackle food insecurity and work with nature. Projects will run between five and seven years. Applications are accepted at any time.
The National Lottery Community Fund – Community Action: Offers grants from £20,001 to £250,000 for community projects lasting up to 5 years. They’re looking to fund projects that will improve people’s access and connection to nature and/or support people’s health and wellbeing. Applications are accepted at any time.
National Lottery Awards For All Scotland: Offers funding from £300 to £20,000 to support projects that bring people together and help communities across Scotland thrive. Funding can be used to start a new activity or continue an existing one. Applications are accepted at any time.
British Gas Energy Trust: Offers two funds to support British Gas customers who are struggling to pay energy bills. These are the Individual and Families Fund and the British Gas Energy Support Fund. Applicants must have received money advice/guidance within the last six months. Applications are accepted at any time.
The Pebble Trust: Offers grants of up to £10,000 to support projects that meet their charitable objectives of community development, environmental protection and education and science. They also must contribute to reducing our dependency on fossil fuels and finite resources. Applications are accepted at any time.
CARES Community Solar Fund: Up to 80% funding is available to install solar panels on community buildings. These include village halls, community centres, community hubs, sports facilities and faith buildings. Funding is open to charities registered with OSCR or non profit organisations registered with Companies House. Applications are accepted at any time.
Zero Waste Scotland – Circular Economy Accelerator Grants: Offering grants of up to £75,000 to Scottish organisations to support projects that advance circular economy practices. Applications are accepted at any time.
The Mushroom Trust: Accepting applications to fund the design work for new outdoor green space projects such as formal gardens, public parks and community gardens. Applications are accepted at any time.
