Scottish Communities Climate Action Network (SCCAN) is a national network dedicated to empowering community-led responses to the climate and nature emergency across Scotland.
Rooted in values of collaboration, inclusion and climate justice, SCCAN’s ideology centres on the belief that communities are at the heart of meaningful climate action and social transformation.
In the development of this manifesto, SCCAN asked our members and key stakeholders for their opinions on the things that matter most to them going forwards and what they’d like to do about it. The results are in this document.
This is a NEEDS-BASED MANIFESTO, not a permision-based one, we ask:
What needs to be done – now – to protect communities, restore ecosystems, and secure a livable future?
This manifesto sets out the full picture of what must happen to create a just, regenerative Scotland — regardless of whether those powers currently sit at Holyrood or Westminster.
