Creative Carbon Journalling December

We are all living in a changing world. The Story Weaver Team at SCCAN would like to encourage you to take time out each month to Creative Journal around the changes we are living through. This practise is an opportunity to connect with what matters to you, the changes you are bearing witness to and stories of possible futures you’d like to tell. Each month we’ll be providing a series of prompts to help you do just that.

This month we are focusing on the Winter Solstice which marks the longest, darkest night of the year. It’s a time of stillness and silence before the sun starts to gather strength and the days grow longer. For many it marks the possibility of a fresh start and new beginnings. It’s a time for reflection and planning for a new year.

What seeds do you want to plant for your community for the new year?

If what we pay attention to grows, what do you think your community needs to pay attention to as we move into a new year. What are the risks that need paying attention to as well as the possibilities?

This time of year is all about potential for the future. Where are the potentials in your community to build resilience, share resources and do things in a more sustainable way?
