Outer Hebrides Climate Hub Ideas Into Action Fund: Funds up to £500 for 10 ideas to tackle climate change in the Outer Hebrides. Individuals, groups and businesses of any size can apply. Round one deadline: 3rd July 2026.
Lanarkshire Climate Hub Sustainable Community Food Grant: Provides funds to community groups and organisations in Lanarkshire to allow them to participate in an interactive workshop which looks at the impact climate change is having on our food systems. Deadline: 20th July 2026.
Dundee Changemakers Hub Micro Grant: Offering grants of £500, £1,000 and £1,500 to support ideas and projects that focus on climate and social justice issues in Dundee. Deadline: 30th July 2026.
Lanarkshire Climate Hub Circular Life Skills Grant: Offers grants of up to £1,000 to support community groups and organisations to deliver projects that equip people with skills for the circular economy. Applications are accepted at any time.
East Lothian Climate Hub Climate and Nature Action Grants: Grants of up to £10,000 are available to East Lothian community groups to help them deliver action for climate and nature. Community groups must be a member of ELCAN to be eligible to apply. Applications are accepted at any time.
Highlands and Islands Breaking Barriers Fund: Offers funding of up to £1,000 to community organisations in Shetland, Orkney and the Highlands who have hit an unexpected financial challenge with their climate project and need money to continue. Applications for 2026/27 are currently open.
ECCAN Greenlight fund: Offers grants starting from £250 and up to £20,000 to fund climate action projects from ECCAN members. This year, ECCAN are particularly keen to fund youth-led projects, projects that widen access and participation and climate adaptation initiatives. Micro grant deadline: ongoing until all funds have been awarded.
NESCAN Hub Seed Fund: Small grants of up to £500 are available for non-profit community organisations in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to support them with setting up climate action and biodiversity projects. Applications for 2026/27 are currently open.
General Funding
GOT Bag Care Collective Fund: Offers grants to support practical, on-the-ground projects that demonstrate clear environmental and social impacts, with a focus on locally led work in vulnerable coastal communities worldwide. Deadline: 5th July 2026.
The Fore Autumn 2026 funding: Registration to apply for The Fore Autumn 2026 funding round will open at 12 pm on 8th July 2026 and close at 12 pm on 15th July 2026. The funding round is open to small charities and social enterprises with an annual turnover of under £500,000.
ArtRoots Fund: Offers grants of up to £6,000 to support communities to produce art projects along traffic-free National Cycle Network routes in Scotland. Deadline: 14th July 2026.
Green Community Grants Programme: Offers one year flexible funding to UK non profit organisations with an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million. To be eligible for funding, your organisation must have been operating for a minimum of 12 months and your aims and objectives are environmental or nature based. Deadline: 15th July 2026.
Moray Local Action Fund: Offers funds of between £5,000 and £25,000 to enable community-led activity in Moray which supports a just transition to a wellbeing economy. Deadline: 20th July 2026.
Social Innovation Challenge: Offers funding support for innovative social enterprise ideas that tackle Scotland’s biggest social and environmental challenges. The winner will receive a grant of £30,000 and tailored support. Two finalists will receive £10,000 each. Deadline: 20th July 2026.
Historic Environment Scotland Partnership Fund: Offers funding to third sector organisations to support them in delivering heritage projects that align with their values and objectives. Deadline for expressions of interest: 14th August 2026.
The Grocers Charity Open Grants Programme: Awards one-off grants of £5,000 to UK registered charities that focus on a variety of topics, including environment and conservation. Deadline: 15th August 2026.
Warburtons Community Grants: Offers grants of up to £400 to UK charities and community groups to support them to deliver projects for families that focus on health, place and skills development. Deadline: 17th August 2026.
STFC Public Engagement Grant Scheme: The Science and Technology Facilities Council is inviting applications for projects that engage the public with STFC-supported science and technology. Grants of £5,000-£20,000 are available, with STFC funding 100% of the full economic cost. Deadline: 25th August 2026.
Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund: Funding of up to £50,000 is available to support local grassroots green projects from third sector organisations and community groups in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. Deadline: 31st August 2026.
International Touring and Environmental Responsibility Programme: Offers 15 places for Scottish performing arts professionals, companies, venues and organisations to attend a training programme designed to help develop new, environmentally responsible approaches to international touring and collaboration. There is also an invite to apply for funding. Deadline: 1st September 2026.
Rewilding Britain Innovation Fund: Offers grants of up to £15,000 to support rewilding projects of more than 40 hectares across Scotland, England and Wales. Funding is available to both early stage projects and those looking to scale up. Deadline: 5th September 2026.
Learning Through Making Fund: Offers grants of up to £25,000 to eligible UK visual arts organisations to support them to deliver projects that encourage making, material exploration and creative experimentation. Deadline: 11th September 2026.
General Funding
Climate Action Fund – Food Systems: The National Lottery Community Fund is inviting applications to its new Climate Action Fund – Food Systems programme. Partnerships between UK non profit organisations can apply for grants of between £2.5 million and £7 million for ambitious projects that strengthen food systems, tackle food insecurity and work with nature. Projects will run between five and seven years. Applications are accepted at any time.
The National Lottery Community Fund – Community Action: Offers grants from £20,001 to £250,000 for community projects lasting up to 5 years. They’re looking to fund projects that will improve people’s access and connection to nature and/or support people’s health and wellbeing. Applications are accepted at any time.
National Lottery Awards For All Scotland: Offers funding from £300 to £20,000 to support projects that bring people together and help communities across Scotland thrive. Funding can be used to start a new activity or continue an existing one. Applications are accepted at any time.
The Pebble Trust: Offers grants of up to £10,000 to support projects that meet their charitable objectives of community development, environmental protection and education and science. They also must contribute to reducing our dependency on fossil fuels and finite resources. Applications are accepted at any time.
Martin Wills Wildlife Trust Maintenance Grants: Typically offers grants between £1,000 and £2,000 to UK charities to support the conservation and maintenance of the natural environment for the benefit of the public. Particularly in rural areas. Applications are accepted at any time.
Sea-Changers Scottish Learning Fund: Provides small grants of up to £750 to enable early-stage and/or small community groups in Scotland that focus on marine conservation to learn, share knowledge, network and develop skills with other groups. Applications are accepted at any time.
Aviva Communities Fund: Organisations can receive up to £25,000 in match funding. The fund supports projects that focus on climate action or financial wellbeing. Applications are accepted at any time.
SME Loan Scheme: Loans of up to 100k are available to eligible Scottish businesses, non profit organisations and charities. The money can be used to fund renewable energy and technology upgrades in your business. You can receive a cashback grant of up to £30,000 once your project is completed and evidence is provided. Applications are accepted at any time.
Volunteering Matters Action Earth grants: Offers grants of up to £250 to support volunteer-led projects that promote participation in outdoor nature activities. Volunteers working in an urban or built-up area of Scotland are eligible to apply. Applications are accepted at any time.
I Dig Trees – Community Tree Packs: The Conservation Volunteers are offering free community tree packs to encourage more native tree planting in communities.
The Chestnut Fund: Offers grants to support grassroots community groups and initiatives wanting to deliver practical volunteering that improves the natural environment. Start up grants of £200 and support grants of £500 are available. Applications are accepted at any time.
