Greater Glasgow Climate Action Network – 2nd meeting

21 participants from different organisations attended the 2nd Greater Glasgow Regional Network co-hosted by COPE Scotland on 17th November 2021. COPE Scotland delivered an excellent session on Network weaving for climate activism and compiled a report with useful tools and resources here.

This session aimed to offer a selection of tools which may be helpful resources to support improvements and developments in these areas and support a compassionate response to ourselves, each other and the planet. These tools include:

  • The Jigsaw toolkit to support sharing visions for climate action across diverse stakeholders, also how it can be used to support our own wellbeing and self- care.
  • Introduction to network weaving to support collaboration and inclusivity.
  • Introduction to liberating structures as tools which can be used to create safer more compassionate spaces to have the courageous conversations needed to support change.

The session was a mixture of presentation of the tools and an opportunity to work in groups and try them out.
