The workshop is split into TWO, HALF-DAY SESSIONS and it will:

  • cover principles of place-based storytelling,
  • share resources for creating multimedia stories,
  • help you design a simple audio walking tour,
  • and introduce you to using a free izi.travel app to construct your walking tour.

By the end of the workshop you will produce your first place-based walking tour story.

It will be a hands-on interactive session with group discussions, 1:1 support for technical use of izi.travel and recording of audio, as well as time away from screen for personal reflection.

We hope the stories you will create can contribute to 1000 Better Stories blog, a part of SCCAN Storyteller Collective. As contributors you will eligible to apply for a SCCAN mini-grant of up to £250.
